Kansas City, KS – The KCK Chamber of Commerce has announced its newest intern for the month of October 2019. Our Community Engagement intern is Estrella Gonzalez; she is a recent graduate from the University of North Texas with a B.A. in Converged Broadcasting. Ms. Gonzalez is an El Paso, TX native with skills in production, writing, photography, and announcing.

While in college Ms. Gonzalez was a part of North Texas Television where she was a Spanish news desk anchor, a social media coordinator for a student led television show, and a sweetheart for the fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi- Mu Gamma Chapter.

“I’ve been visiting KCK and KCMO for the past nine years and finally living here is a huge step into becoming a successful professional,” said Ms. Gonzalez. “Having the opportunity to work with the KCK Chamber before my first job in the corporate world is an honor, and I am excited to contribute my skills and learn more from the Chamber.”

Ms. Gonzalez has previously worked as an intern for the Midwest Innocence Project, the Latinx Education Collaborative, and Tico Productions, here in the Midwest. During her free time, she has worked on community engagement with Kauffman and Literacy KC.

“I am excited to work with the KCK Chamber and its team, and experience new things.” said Ms. Gonzalez.The mission of the Kansas City Kansas Area Chamber of Commerce is to enhance and create opportunities in Wyandotte County which build a quality community to live, work and conduct business. A vital part of the community since 1898, the Chamber works in four core areas –Legislative, Information, Networking and Community.
