The KCK Chamber of Commerce formally submitted a Letter of Support for SB164 to Kansas Senate Commerce Committee today. The $2,000 tax credit for qualified employees of licensed childcare facilities that SB164 provides will be a great incentive for the expansion and development of licensed childcare facilities throughout the state, including Wyandotte County.
The Kansas City Kansas Chamber of Commerce supports policies and funding to improve working families’ access to affordable, quality childcare that is necessary for a stable and adequate workforce for business. SB164 increases childcare capacity and supports workforce development through its tax credit.
The Kansas City Kansas Chamber of Commerce is proud to represent over 500 business members and advocate for pro-business legislation on behalf of our membership. We are pleased to stand with Chamber members/partners like the Wyandotte Economic Development Council and The Family Conservancy, as well as other Chamber partners as proponents of SB164.
