Informed Voices, Engaged Community: Our 2026 Congressional Forums

As we move into November, we’re taking a moment to thank our members for another month of engagement, conversation, and community leadership. Your continued involvement in the Kansas City, Kansas Chamber of Commerce helps keep our business community informed, connected, and ready to take part in the decisions that shape our region.

This October, the Chamber was proud to host two Congressional Forums at Mark One Electric. Both featured candidates for Governor of Kansas ahead of the 2026 general election. The forums gave business and community leaders the chance to hear directly from the candidates about their experience, their priorities for the state, and the issues affecting Kansas businesses, families, and communities.

On October 1, we welcomed Kansas State Senator Cindy Holscher, Democratic nominee for Governor of Kansas, for a Congressional Forum Luncheon. Senator Holscher spoke about her time in the Kansas Legislature and her outlook on the state’s future. Attendees heard her views on state leadership and on the business and economic environment in Kansas.

On October 20, we welcomed Kansas Senate President Ty Masterson, Republican candidate for Governor of Kansas. Senator Masterson spoke about his time in the Kansas Legislature and his perspectives on state policy, economic development, and the business climate. Attendees heard his views on where Kansas is headed.

Thank you to everyone who attended and took part in the conversation, and to Mark One Electric for hosting both events.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. We encourage every member to stay informed, look over the candidates and issues on your ballot, and make your voice heard. As we head into the final months of the year, the Chamber will keep offering ways to network, learn, and connect with fellow business and community leaders. We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event!

Warm regards,
